Monday, March 19, 2013, Ms. Veronica Alston, Service to Community Award Recipient, recognized by the Calvert County Board of Commissioners via Proclamation for the contributions and committed dedication to service that has improved the quality of life for women in Calvert County.

Saturday, March 16, 2013, Ms. Alton received the 11th Annual Women of the World (WOW) Service Award presented by the Calvert County League of Women Voters and the Calvert County Commission for Women for her community service to improve the quality of life for Calvert County women and girls.

Wednesday, October 24, 2012, Recovery Coach Academy Achievement Certificate received for promoting recovery by removing barriers and obstacles to recovery by serving as a personal guide and mentor for people seeking or in recovery.

Tuesday, October 23,2012, the Calvert County Board of Commissioners, Calvert County Commission for Women, and the Calvert County Crisis Intervention Center presented a Proclamation to Veronica Alston for opening her home to house and support women in need to rebuild their lives. She was recognized for her contribution to women in need which is given to a professional or volunteer who has shown outstanding service and assistance to victims of crimes against women.

Saturday, October 13, 2012, Ms. Veronica Alston presented the Madam C.J. Walker Business Award at the Concerned Black Women of Calvert County's Fifth Annual Luncheon and Awards Gala in Chesapeake Beach, MD. This award recognizes women in the community who have made major contributions to the community.
